The YILDIRIM-AYAN Laboratory located in the Palmer Hall building at the University of Toledo is home to a variety of research labs within the department of bioengineering. Our laboratory is equipped for studies utilizing “state-of-the-art” techniques in tissue culture, tissue-engineered scaffold manufacture, molecular biology and surface treatment. The lab equipments include a cell-3D printer, an electrospinning unit, a fully equipped mammalian cell and tissue culture facility, a plasma treatment device, and fluorescence, bright field and polarized microscopes with digital imaging systems. The shared facilities include UV/visible spectrophotometers, a fluorometer, a PCR Thermal cycler and High Pressure Liquid Chromatography unit.
In addition to the resources located within the department, we have access to UT's core labs for Material Characterization, Flow Cytometry, Confocal Microscopy and Histology and AAALAC-accredited animal care facilities (DLAR).
